The War on Love is real. Across the globe, there are countless forces that seek to corrupt, commodify, and co-opt the ways in which we express our love for each other and ourselves.
Recognizing this, we’ve taken a stand, and plan to reinvent Valentine’s Day as an evening of high-energy celebration and spontaneous loving connection between thousands of total strangers.
Together, we will storm our cities with hundreds of synchronized boomboxes and defend our societies from those who would have us forget what it means to be super Human!

HOW A MOBILE (DECENTRALIZED) DANCE PARTY WORKS:
Hundreds of people carry boomboxes and the DJ wears a backpack, containing an FM radio transmitter. All the boomboxes are tuned into the DJ’s master FM broadcast, resulting in a mobile, synchronized sound system!
This Open-Source dance Party roams the night, generating complete awesomeness, street by street and block by block, onto buses and subways, into public fountains and beyond. Inevitably interfacing with the public, together we create an infectious epidemic of fun; a roaming Party adventure that lasts all night long!

THE THEME is “SAVE LOVE” and CREATE YOUR OWN SUPERHERO is the dress code:
No more overpriced baubles or romantic candlelit dinners. This year we’re going to do something truly unforgettable on Valentine’s Day. We’re going to Save Love By Partying.
We encourage everyone to dress as a superhero inspired by someone, something, or some idea that they really love. Come dressed as World Peace Man. Come dressed as your pet or partner (in superhero form). Do something awesome and unexpected. Use your super powers to express love in a way unique to you. Together, we will overtake the city and defend it from those powers that would have us forget what it means to be a super Human!

DDPs are hosted exclusively in public spaces and we take great pride in creating the most inclusive Parties possible. EVERYONE, of every AGE, BACKGROUND and STYLE is 100% welcome and will be accepted with open arms and high-fives.
People show up to DDPs with their kids and parents all the time. Homeless people join in wherever we go. People in wheelchairs too. It’s all good. The more diversity the better.
In a time when much of the world is polarized and divided, “Capital-P Partying” represents a rare Common Goal that can instantly unite everyone it encounters.
Music is the universal human language, dancing is the universal human movement, and Partying is the Universal Human Identity!

We’ve hosted over 70 DDPs across the globe over the past 7 years. Not one has been cancelled due to rain. And this one won’t be either. Worst case scenario = Party with umbrellas and get a little moist. Don’t Stop Believing.
